The Angolan Swimming Federation had the privilege of receiving a visit from HE Mr. Vice President of the Republic of Angola, Dr. Bornito de Sousa, in what was the first time that this happened with the federation.
On this visit, he got to know the (humble) facilities of the Federation, we took a guided tour of the Alvalade swimming pool (our swimming cathedral), met and talked with the athletes who have been part of the national teams since 2021 (those in Angola) and at the end, there was a working meeting with the Federation's board in which a presentation was shared outlining the history of swimming, the federation's history, the current board's project for this Olympic cycle, the achievements already achieved and projects for the year and main targets until the end of the Olympic cycle.
It was a unique moment of visibility for the swimming, as the figure of the Vice president carries with him a whole security and media apparatus, only surpassed by the President of the Republic.
