Aquatic activities are not currently permitted in Rwanda. Residents of Rwanda are still awaiting government resolutions scheduled 1st august 2020. The conditions to restart are to present the measures and guidelines to be followed when resuming aquatic activities. “Such guidelines have been presented to the Ministry of sports and we are still waiting for their feedback.” Rwanda is expected to resume aquatic activities in September 2020. Upon opening the country up again, Rwanda anticipate that they will start by training and competitions will follow at a later stage. In the meantime, Rwandan Swimmers are currently participating in dry land activities. Concerning Travel in Rwanda, residents do travel outside of their province of residence, all while abiding to Covid-19 travel rules and regulations. Travel outside of the country will only be permitted after the 1st of August 2020. The Airport is still currently closed. However, Foreign visitors are allowed into the country, on conditions that they go into self quarantine for medical check ups.
