Even if the young South African women’s team managed to stay at the 14th place between the 2016 edition ( 15 countries) and that of 2018 (16 countries) , the overall performance of the team was better and encouraging with a victory against Argentina 11/8 and honorable defeats against New Zealand 11/5 and Brazil 10/7.
