The Sierra Leone Swimming, Diving and Water Polo Association on Wednesday, 22nd May, launched the Swim For All Campaign aka Bank with RCBank, Swim Over Troubled Waters at the Siaka Stevens Stadium Swimming Complex in Freetown.

The objective of this project is to get as many people in the bank as possible swimming and also make them acquainted with aquatic activities.

It will also offer an option for general physical bodily exercise, apart from going to the gymnasium.

Speaking at the launch, Swimming President Rev. George Spilsbury-Williams said that swimming is on the verge of stepping on a new gear as tremendous strides have been made since the passing on of Alhaji Dr. A. T. Fadlu-Deen and that the association's partnership with Rokel Commercial Bank is an indication of how Swimming SLE want to trandscend beyond boundaries, to ascend to national height to attain better global reputation while thanking the Rokel Commercial Bank for supporting the campaign.

The Deputy Director of Sports, Lami n Lambat Sesay, commended the Rokel Commercial Bank for supporting sports associations in Sierra Leone in implementing their activities in the recent past, citing football and rollball.

He stated that unlike other partnerships that the bank have been involved in, the uniqueness of the partnership with the swimming association is that members of staff will be practically involved in the activities.

Staff who have completed training will also be capable to make full use of hotel swimming pools whilst on overseas training or on vacation.

The MD of RCBank, Dr. Walton Gilpin,  who launched the Event stated that they have hope in the swimming Executive to turn things around, appealing  to all to support and emulate the initiative concluding that the RCBank will give the swimming association the necessary support to actualize their dream.

The training sessions will last for two weeks covering 10 modules.

Swimming gear, Training Schedule and Polo Shirts were given to the trainees.

On completion of the training, each participant will be given a certificate of completion of basic swimming training.
