INDIA & SOUTH AFRICA PARTNER ON SWIMMING & WATER POLO

Johannesburg, Thursday, 21st January 2021 – The Indian and South African Swimming Federations today signed a milestone partnership agreement to further jointly develop swimming and water polo in their countries. The agreement will see South African and Indian teams participate in competitions against each other. The newly elected CANA Bureau held its first meeting on Saturday 19 December 2020. The Bureau members considered a number of items in preparation for 2021. Delegates from over 40 countries gathered today (12 December 2020) for the virtual General Congress of the African Swimming Confederation (CANA). The Congress originally scheduled for April 2020 in Durban, South Africa had to be postponed due the global COVID pandemic.
